Heartbeat and Watchdog

There are generally two main middleware brokers between the WXS and the PLC. One is the Web Service and the other is the PLC Data Logger.

The Web Service is the primary broker between the WXS and the PLC. This handles such transactions as: Alarms & Events, Maintenance, Control, etc.

The PLC Data Logger is a secondary broker between the WXS and the PLC. This handles such transactions as: Graph and Chart recording.

The user should add the wxsHeartbeat routine to their program.
